Mud Baths

Tonight we broke the "clean" rules and I let the boys take their shoes off and run through the flood of our backyard. Sure, they probably now have impetigo and will have pneumonia next week, but let me tell you....they had the time of their lives. Kylan even said "this is the best day ever." My poor deprived children, lol. So go ahead and mark me on the list of bad parents, but their smiles were priceless!!! Jace also experienced his first shower tonight. We had to be quick before church so I stuck both boys in the shower, and Jace loved it.

7 Year Anniversary

Well today John and I celebrate our 7 year anniversary. In ways I can't believe that we have been married 7 years and in others it feels as we have been married forever. I mean none of those in a bad way at all. I thank God that I have a husband that adores and compliments me all of the time. I am so thankful that he is such a great daddy as well. He always helps me when I need it ( and no it is not always without complaint, lol) but he still does it. I could go on and on about all the things that he is to me. I could also list tons of things that our marriage is and isn't. Marriage is hard work, but such a blessing!!!!

On another note, I just had to write this down so I wouldn't forget. Kylan found a lightning bug and asked me how does its light work. I told him that was just how God made him, and he said, "What? Did he just put a battery in him or something!"
Too cute!
Oh, and sorry for the terrible pic. It is bed time and you can tell it!

Week in review...

Okay starting from my last blog.....Wed. night was church, Thurs. I took half of a day off to go to the dentist, then off to Kylan's ball game. Friday night was the Taylor Swift concert with mom, Andrea, and our friend Amber. Mom wanted tickets to the concert for her birthday and wanted us to go with her. She wanted to see Kellie Pickler more than Taylor Swift. She was excited to get Kellie's autograph after the concert. I felt a little odd not knowing many of the songs, but I have to give them props. They all put on a really good show. This morning I went to a Race for the Cure Walk. My sis and I did it for a lady I used to teach with. She has since moved to Fayetteville. Today is spent working on orders and then off to a date night with my hubby to celebrate his birthday (which was yesterday) and our anniversary (which is Monday.)

Short & Sweet

It seems as if it is getting busier and busier. This weekend was a blur. Gatlin stayed the night with us so the boys had a great time on the 4-wheeler. We went and ate with John's parents on Friday night and then I stayed busy Sat. with a cake order, fabric order, and funeral visitation. Sunday was church and I felt horrible. I have been dealing with a sinus infection for almost 2 wks. now. I'm too stubborn to just go to the doc. Anyway, tonight was Young Mother's club and then off to a busy week ahead. We have something every night this week. Tomorrow and Thur. t-ball, Wed. night church, Friday Taylor Swift concert, Sat. night is date night with my hubby for his b-day and out anniversary. Soooo....maybe I will have time to blog, maybe not. I also have 11 shirt orders plus other fabric orders. Please pray for me, lol. If only I could stay at home!!!! Today Jace is 23 months old. Just one more month until the big "2."

I think the Easter left a little something behind.....

I'm thinking maybe he needs to pay some child support or something too. Maybe leave some extra candy or choc. bunnies around every once in a while at the least. What do you think????? Seriously....my mom found them in her flowerbed in a little den and was afraid they would get eaten, so John caught them. We are trying to feed them, with little success. We may try to raise them, not sure yet. Kylan just LOVES them. They are pretty cute little fellows!

Easter Sunday

Today was great! Kylan didn't go to bed until after midnight, but was up at 6:30 this morning to see what the Easter bunny brought him. I drug myself out of bed long enough to take a couple of pics and went back to bed. I swear 30 minutes later he came in to wake Jace up to show him what the bunny had left him. We then went to mom and dad's to hunt eggs. You will have to excuse the way they look in the pics, they are still in jammies along with other clothes on top. It was chilly!!! Afterwards it was off to church services, then my grandma Sanders, and then John's parents. Hope everyone had a great Easter and remembers the real reason for the celebration in today. It is not the candy, dyed eggs, or the Easter bunny!!! Those are great traditions, but I am so amazed at God's grace today!!!

Egg hunt

As you can see, all 12 eggs just didn't make it, lol

Today was busy. John had a customer appreciation day at work, so mom and I took the boys to our local egg hunt. This is the first and last time for us to go. It was crazy. You register first and then wait an hour for it to begin. Then it only last between 5-7 minutes, if that. Kylan's went fine and he found 14 eggs. Jace's division covered 0-3 yr olds. The parents were allowed to hunt with them, though it turned out to be for them instead. It was pitiful. By the time we crossed the line Jace got one egg. I let him down to pick up eggs all by himself, but parents were all around snatching eggs for their kids baskets. I mean there was one lady with her kid stuck football hold style under her arm, screaming the entire time, while she got her kids eggs. The kid never even got set down. It was seriously ridiculous. Jace just looked around like what do I do now. Poor thing, it was over before it even started. Tonight we had our new preacher and his wife over for supper. We had a great time chatting and they helped entertain the kiddos. We dyed eggs and made our traditional resurrection cookies that tell the story of the resurrection. Kylan understands some of the story but still gets a little confused, which is why I want to keep up the tradition so that he will better understand it later. Well, tomorrow is actually already here since it is after midnight. I still have Easter bunny deliveries to make and the off to bed. Just for some quick explanations for the pics above. If you tell Jace to smile he sticks out his tongue. Jace also took to Nicole (our new preachers wife) quickly tonight. He doesn't normally just go sit in someones lap unless it is family.

Ready for the weekend

I am exhausted!!! We have tested at school this week and it is a big relief to have it out of the way. We had ball practice tonight for the first time in awhile because of rain. Kylan did well. Jace had his egg hunt at school today. Of course I had to miss is, but John's mom went for me and then took Jace with her so he didn't have to stay at school. I was able to get a few pics of him at school this morning, but none during the hunt. I hate missing everything!!! I am so glad that I am off tomorrow. I have a cake to bake and some last minute "Easter Bunny" shopping to do, plus Kylan has GOT to get a haircut before Sunday. Then, off to a fun weekend with family, egg hunting, and Easter Sunday services!

Up and Running

YAY! I can use my keyboard again! Whoo hoo! Actually we look like rednecks. You know the kind that have a t.v. on top of a t.v., one for sound the other for the picture, lol. We had to get a wireless keypad since Jace did in my keyboard with my coke, so it is sitting in front of my laptop. Oh well, cheaper then buying a new laptop for now!
Okay, so now to catch up......things have still been busy with orders, but I think I am almost caught up, which is a nice feeling. Ball should start this week. We have been postponing so much with all of the crazy weather. Which, by the way, what is up with it???? Ok, on to some funny stories from Kylan. The other day we went to Sonic, just the two of us, to reward him for good behavior and perfect attendance for the 3rd quarter. Anyway, he just all of a sudden asked, "Momma, how come bullfrogs smell through your pants." Bullfrogs equals toots in our house. I don't like the "other" words for that particular bodily function so we have always called them that since he was a baby. I asked him what he meant, and he said," I just don't understand why when you make one, they don't stay in your pants." I am dying laughing in the front seat. Then today he asked where hash browns come from. Before I could answer he says never mind, I know.....square potatoes. I stifle my laugh and just let him go on believing that someone out there grows square potatoes, lol. He has also been super excited because his 6 year molars are coming in.
In other news...we are excited to be welcoming a new pastor and his wife to our church. I can't wait to see the work that God has for him, us, and our church.
Gosh, it is hard to remember what all has been going on, plus I don't want to have a long boring post. I have missed posting and seeing your comments!!!
