Saturday Sun

John was super sweet and let me sleep in until almost 9, which was WONDERFUL!!! We were up kinda late last night, so it felt refreshing to get to sleep in this morning. We got up and cleaned up a little, it feels so good to have a clean house. I only have one room left to really clean up and it is clean with the exception of some yard sell stuff and some baby things I need to pass along (awww, how sad!) Plus, I have a different desk to put up that a friend passed along.Anyway, we had a housewarming to go to in Bay from 2-4 for some friends of ours. We were late, as always! I swear we can't make it on time anywhere!!! It was very nice and relaxing, they cooked out hamburgers and hot dogs! Yummo! I LOVE good ole grilled hamburgers and hot dogs! Kylan decided to play in the pool with the other smaller kids, and was soaked by the time we left. We came home and I took a little nap. You would think I wouldn't be so tired after sleeping in, but I slept until almost 9. John had to run to his work, the alarm at gone off twice, so he had to go take care of that business. He came home and we went to clean the church. Jace has been asleep since around 6 and is still asleep, so we may have a long night or very early morning....we will see!!!

To the movies

Today John and I got a wild hair to take the boys to the movies tonight. It always a major questions of whether or not to take Jace since he is so little, but I'm glad we took him tonight. He was the poster child for a good baby. He slept through most of the movies, which was nice, so we all got to enjoy it. We saw the Indiana Jones movies. It was okay, but I don't really remember the "orginials" to compare it to, though John said he was a little disappointed. It was still nice to not just do our normal grocery shopping, though we did go to Walmart afterwards of course. What would a Friday night be without us at Walmart! How sad of course! Anyway, we had a good time none the less. The pictures posted are from tonight...Jace thought he would help put away groceries, and he "picked out" his first toy tonight. Kylan of course loves this part of going to Walmart. If he has been pretty good all week then he gets to pick out a small toy...yes I know a bad habit, but one that he really looks forward to. The last picture is one I took last night at bedtime. Kylan fell asleep with his razorback helmet on and I couldn't resist taking the picture! How funny!

Odds-N-Ends

I have actually been a little productive lately, especially considering it is SUMMER VACATION!!! I have been doing some much needed cleaning in the house these last couple of days. Kylan has been such a good help, dusting, mopping floors...and I'm talking about on hands and knees scrubbing floors, laundry, etc. It was so sweet of him to help. He has been playing a lot outside too. I am trying to get completely re-organized this summer...meaning going through every room in the house trying to get rid of and find a place for everything. As my mom always says "if everything has a place, then it shouldn't been hard to keep clean." I agree, it's just hard to find a place sometimes. I can be very tough at times, when I get the house spotless that is, about keeping it clean. If one things gets out of place I really get after the boys of the household, considering again, that I am soooo outnumbered. Don't go thinking however, that my house stays spotless...IT DOESN'T! I have two kids and a husband, and yes I can be messy too. I do plan on however, getting to the point this summer that I can keep my house "company ready" at anytime, so long as I can reach my re-organizational goals. Two other major goals for the summer are to re-paint/redecorate John's bathroom and to finish my laundry room. I want to make it a laundry/work room for scrapbooking etc. My friend Stacy's laundry room is also her work room and it is awesome. For now I have so much of my "crafting" tools, materials, etc. in the office/pointless room of the house. As mentioned in an earlier blog, I got a great entertainment center for the office that holds this stuff for now. I am working on getting it organized and getting more baskets that look presentable. Sooooo, hopefully this summer I can reach my goals as well as get into a habit of keeping a organized household. I am also posting some random pictures from the last couple of days. Look at the cute monkey outfit that Jace is wearing in one of them. Guess where it came from? Okay I'll tell you, Deals for 2 bucks! Can you believe it, of course I'm sure that it may possibly fall apart in the washing machine, but hey for $2, it was worth it for a days wear, don't ya think?

Whew has it been busy! Saturday we went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate a friend's little boy's birthday party. Happy 3rd birthday Kayden! Then we went to Andrea's lingerie party in Memphis at Encore Restaurant. It was wonderfully delicious. On Sunday we had church as usual and then a birthday party for a little boy in Kylan's class at preschool. Happy Birthday to Kameron too! Monday we went with friends Tiffany and Allen to a Redbirds game. Kylan and their son Caleb had a blast. Kylan did have a belly ache but they got to play games and run the bases after the game. We had to wait about 40 minutes for the game to start because of rain, but we had a great time.

PIctures

We finally got pictures done last night. They turned out okay, we actually needed a baby wrangler, but for the most part he did well. No tears at all and he was in the best mood. It was just hard keeping him still and not wanting to crawl off.

School's Out For The Summer!!!

Yes, I'm singing that song! Today was officially my last day of school! WHOO HOO!!! It was a looong day, but over now, and I am tired, but all smiles!!! Wednesday was the boys last day. I made their teachers some hand shaped cookie and wrote on a container Thanks for lending a hand. I also let the boys put their handprints on them. I also got them each a plant. It wasn't much, but when you have 4 teachers it can get expensive. Plus, I try to send them something for every holiday, even the little ones, to show them how much they are appreciated. Yesterday was our Kindergarten graduation. It was so sad to see all of my little ones go, but it is amazing to see how much they have learned and grown this year. I had such a sweet class this year, so I'm a little worried about the fall class, but we will see. Last night John and I went to my sister's couples shower. It was nice. We didn't get started ordering until almost 8, even though it started at 6:30. The food was good though, and I think everyone had a good time. Tonight we are going to get Jace's pictures made, so I will post some as soon as I can. We are just going to Sears since we are about to get professional family potraits. Hopefully we will still get some decent ones.

Just some pics from today!

Jace in his cute little outfit my friend Stacy made for his birthday!

I wish I was still this flexible!! It's so funny when he does this, all you have to say is "AWWW poor baby!" and he will lay his head down on the floor!
