Saturday Snow

After

Before

Seriously, can this weather get any crazier? Yesterday I finished up an order and then John and I chilled at home. Today, I woke up to breakfast in bed. John made me toast and an omelet. I got up went to get my hair cut and colored. Which was waaaaaaay past due. July was the last time I had it done, so I feel refreshed now. John then took Kylan to a birthday party at Pump it Up. Jace and I stayed home b/c if a child is under 2 then they can't play on anything. John and Kylan got groceries for me too while they were in town. Tonight I went to visit Shea and Baby Madden! I just love to hold sweet babies!! I can't wait for play dates with Madden!

where have I been do you ask?

I know, for those of you who are used to me posting every day I have been MIA. Well, let me tell you why. Tuesday night was Parents Night at the elementary school. I took Kylan with me. We did a patterns activity with the parents. I did get pictures, however, I used another teacher's camera and don't have them yet. Wednesday night us bunco girls decided to go see Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was a cute movie and we had lots of fun. Only thing was....I wanted to go SHOPPING!!! Imagine that! Tonight is being spent finishing up an order. In other exciting news.....John is on his way home with my EMBROIDERY MACHINE!!!! FINALLY!!!

Next time I'm taking off for a FUN day!

I took off a half day today to take Jace to the clinic. Yesterday when I got up and got him in the tub his ear was all nasty and crusty. Sorry for the graphics. I cleaned it up and then looked deep inside his canal to see this weird funky white looking stuff. I have never seen anything like it so I was frantically calling my friends to see if they have ever seen this stuff in their kids ears. I also talked to a friend who is a nurse who said to bring him in just in case, but that it probably was no big deal. Well, thank goodness, it was just Swimmers ear and a possible perforation of his eardrum, but nothing that won't heal on his own. She couldn't tell much because of the build up of wax in his ear. Yes, yuck, I know. Anyway, she gave me some ear drops and antihistamines and sent us on our way. Let me tell you though, our appt. was at 1:15. We got there at 1:00 which is not normally like me, to not only be on time, but early! We were there for 2 1/2 hours. Let me tell you, that is NOT fun, with a 21 month old. I am exhausted! He was too and is taking a nap as we speak, lol. I took some pictures while we (my mom went with me) were trying to keep him entertained. And yes, he has a tongue depressor in his mouth. Just be glad I didn't take pictures of the blown up latex glove that my mom made eyes on with a permanent marker she found in her purse!

Saturday night surprise party

Today we all slept in, which was NICE! We ran to town to get groceries once we all got up and moving around. We came home long enough for me and Jace to catch a quick nap before we headed out to a surprise birthday party for our friend Roy. His wife Malinda wanted to surprise him. They had a great turnout and we had fun visiting. Afterwards we ran to the mall to exchange some things I had ordered online. I always LOVE new clothes!!! Oh, I am also posting pics of baby Madden since his proud mommy has posted some too. I also have pictures of Jace after he got ahold of some of Kylan's stamps this afternoon, lol.

What a week!

Glad this week is over, I know lots of people who feel the same way. Yesterday Kylan was so excited that his daddy and brother came to eat lunch with him at school. We had a good time eating together. I also noticed that Kylan's picture was on the wall at school for being "caught" for good behavior. I had to take a picture of it, lol. Jace turned 21 months old yesterday as well. In other news Baby Madden is home from the hospital, which is a praise. Also, our Young Women's club had a spa night last night. It was a lot of fun to hang out with all of the girls. We got home around 11:30 or so last night.

THANK YOU!

For those of you that sent up prayers for the unknown prayer request, I really appreciate it. They are working!!!! It is amazing to see God's grace and his miracles in every ones lives. He is truly AMAZING!!! On another note, here are a few orders that I have done recently. My machine is still "in the hospital" and I am eager to have it back. I also wanted to post this new video of Jace saying (or attempting) Apple. His newest words are apple, poo poo tee tee, hi, dog, papaw, and shoe. He is FINALLY starting to say new words and tries to repeat what we say.

Happy Birthday Macie and Welcome baby Madden!

Sunday we celebrated went to Macie's first birthday. She looked just precious! We also had a birthday dinner at John's parents for all of the birthdays that have going on in his family lately. It was delcious. Yesterday was busy too with school, and then a quick trip to the hospital to welcome baby Madden. He is 6 lbs and 8 oz. So, so sweet! It was so great to hold him. Jeremy and Shea are really proud parents. Of course I had my camera, but I don't want to post pics until she has the chance to do so first. I then had my Young Mother's club meeting last night. I have a prayer request for you guys though. I don't want to say any names until the family wants it said, but please just pray for a friend of mine. I will fill you in on details later. The prayers will be much appreciated.

For Valentine's Day I got.......

a stomach bug. Jace has it too. I woke up around 4 this morning smelling something awful. I checked Jace's diaper to find that he had diarrhea in his sleep. I was feeling terrible too. I woke John up, and he thankfully changed him for me. Don't think my stomach could have handled it. He had bad diapers all day yesterday and then another one at around 7 this morning. He doesn't act like he feels bad, thank goodness, and he hasn't had any more. I am hoping his bout with this is over. My tummy feels better, but now I have a killer headache. I decided that I didn't want to go out tonight feeling so terrible. We are opting instead for snuggling on the couch and watching Fireproof, which we have yet to see. We gave the boys their goodies, a movie for Kylan, and a book and truck for Jace. I also got a yellow rose from my sweet daddy. He gets me one every year. Yellow roses are my favorite! John surprised me and gave me a card and a new sewing machine. YAY!!! I was very surprised. Now if I can learn to use it, lol. My 1970's machine is not nearly as "advanced" as my new one, so it may take me a few days to learn it. I am excited that I can do so much more though, like button holes on outfits. Now if only I could get my embroidery machine back and going. It is being sent back to the original factory, so maybe when I get it back I won't have a lemon. I had to go to a friends house today to use her machine to finish some orders for the upcoming week. My parents took Kylan to a birthday party today. It was friends of theirs so that is why they took him. I don't think I could have anyway, with Jace and I in our condition, lol. Anyway, hope you all had a better Valentine's Day then me. I am thankful for a loving and understanding hubby who is fine with snuggling instead of going out for the occasion.

Valentine's Party/Movie

Whoops, missed getting that sucker away, lol!

Today was a busy but fun day for the boys. John met us at the theater to see Hotel for Dogs. Kylan had a great time sitting with his us at the movie. He was so excited to get his treat bag full of valentines and candy also. My mom took Jace to his school party since we were with Kylan. He also received a treat bag full of goodies. All of those suckers will be hidden however, lol. Tonight we ran by Tiff's to see baby Camilla and drop off a present that someone had given me to give Tiff. Camilla is getting so big, and she is of course super sweet. We were going out to eat, but the boys must have been pooped from all of the festivities today, because they both passed out in the back seat on the way to town. We opted for fast food instead. I took Jace's inside Walmart when we got groceries to keep him entertained. A tired baby, no food, and Walmart are a lethal combination!!! We did manage to get in and out fairly quickly, and are now at home. We usually don't get home until later, so it is nice to still have a couple hours until bed time. I don't have any of the pictures from Jace's party, they are on my mom's camera. I will post them tomorrow.

To the library...

Kylan has been wanting to go to the library all week. I told him yesterday if he would remind me today, that we would go after we picked up Jace from school. Every time I saw him in the hall today, he called out, "MOM, LIBRARY, don't forget!" It was too funny. He had a great time. We picked out two books for Presidents Day for next week to take to his class for his teacher to read." We picked out about 8 other books as well. We LOVE to read at our house. He has been excited about other things as well. Tomorrow is our Kindergarten field trip to the movies. We are seeing Hotel for Dogs. He is super excited because his daddy is going with him. It should be fun for all of the kiddos.
