Klaire ~ 9 months

Miss Priss is 9 months old. She weighs 18.10 and is 27 inches long. She is in size 3 diapers, and still has NO TEETH!! She is getting to wear she wants "real" food, and loves bread. I haven't given her a lot yet, but she does like mashed potatoes, rice, and peas. She still wakes up to nurse 1-2 times a night, more of a habit than anything. I just can't take letting her cry it out. She is still pulling up to everything and is starting to cruise furniture. She has added saying uh-oh and momma to her vocab. and if you ask her if she is a good girl she shakes her head no. Too funny. I have to say she is a spunky one. She likes to slap already (I can't imagine what terrible twos will bring!) She still loves her momma, but will finally go to others without crying. She is a great baby, but again has a temper if you take something away from her. Love this girl!

Christmas Day

Oh what fun it is to get up before 7!! Lol! The boys woke up bright and early of course. My parents came over and Andrea came over to do our Christmas. They all got way to much and way more than they needed. We are really blessed and I thank God for all he has given us.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at John's Aunt Fonda's like we do every year. The kids got to open one present each and the adults played Dirty Santa. We had a lot of fun! We then came home and went to my parents for time with family that were in for Christmas. Then home to leave out cookies & milk for Santa & reindeer food for the reindeer! LOVE Christmas!!

Klaire's pageant

Klaire got up on the stage and froze. She would only look at me. Needless to say after the judging was over.......oh YEAH...all she did was giggle, clap, wave....and SHOW OUT!!! LOL. Oh Well!!

The busiest week for me...

This was one of the busiest weeks for me prior to Christmas. Sunday we went to see a Living Christmas Tree Program that we attend every year. Monday started our last school week before 2 wks off (YAY, YAY, YAY)!!! I had our Young Mother's Club Christmas party that night. Tuesday after school I felt bad, but knew I had my Young Women's Club Christmas party. Needless to say I went but ended up puking 4 times by the time I went to bed that night. YUCK!!! I felt horrible Wednesday but went to school (I hadn't run in temp and no more vomiting). The boys went with my parents to my dad's Christmas party at his work. They got to sit on Santa's lap and play bingo. Kylan racked up on gifts. They had a fun time. Thanks dad for taking them!!! Wednesday night Jace had his preschool Christmas program. He did FANTASTIC!!!! Thursday mom went to the kids Christmas parties for me. I have lots of pics to post but they are all on my moms camera, so I will try to do that this afternoon. Friday night was Klaire's 2nd Christmas pageant, where she got best dressed again, and hospitality Queen. That just means we sold over $100 in sponsor tickets, but she loved looking at her crown & trophy none the less, lol. There were 8 in her division. Two out of the 3 that placed were walking. Klaire got great scores though, so I was pleased. I have fun doing them. Anyway, yesterday was our annual get together with my Aunt Shirley & Uncle Bob from LR. They got the boys remote control trucks and Klaire a Dog from Leappad that I could program/download personal info and songs on. They all LOVED their gifts!!! Then we had a get together at John's parents last night. Today is church and our Christmas Program tonight for church.

Gingerbread House making fun!

We (me & Tiff) hosted a Ginderbread House party today. We invited around 20 kids. (I know, I know, what were we thinking for our first year trying it!!!) We had a great turnout though and it was a lot of fun. I did realize I need a bigger house! HA! Anyway, next year we will attempt to go even bigger and better (and in another location!) The kids had a fun time and it is something that I think the kids will look forward to every year.

Sick little girl

Klaire started running a temp on Sat. and has been really congested. Her fever got up 103 that night so I took her to Urgent Care on Sunday since her peditrician's office is not open. We got there and the doc. looked checked her out and ordered a fingerprick. He came back in and said that her right ear was red and that her blood count was elevated. Normal is 10,000, hers was at 19. His nurse said that at 20 they start getting concerned. She said that if her breathing would have been a little worse then they would have admitted her. SCARY!!! They gave her an antibiotic shot and oral antibiotics to start on. Her temp got back up past 103 that night I got it back down and took off work Monday to stay with her. She didn't run any temp again until around 4:30, but it was only 100.5. I gave her more Tylenol and she didn't run any more the rest of the night. However she screamed bloody murder from 12-3. Mom kept her for me Tuesday and she was cranky for her all day. She only took 5 oz. all day and wouldn't eat. She only had 2 wet diapers all day so I called Urgent Care who suggested I take her to her reg. pediatrician. Soooo, today we took her to her pediatrician. He said her ear may still be a little infected but it was very hard for him to tell because she had a ton of wax in it. He said that Urgent Care scared me more than was necessary. He said that as long as she had 1 wet diaper every 12 hrs. then she wouldn't dehydrate. (plus she started nursing well again today, & eating (thank goodness.) He said that yes we could have admitted her, but that it would have only been miserable for all of us and unnecessary when we could treat her at home. So for now we are still on antibiotics for the first time ever and we go back for a re-check in two weeks. Thanking the Lord that she is getting better!!!
