Short & sweet

I have been BUSY, super busy! I won't complain because I enjoy the business. I have been working on lots of orders lately, and still have 5 to go this week. Ball starts this week as well (if it ever dries up) and will make it a little tougher, but I will survive! Today was the first day back from Spring Break. My kiddos were excellent and we had a great day. Jace even only cried for a second this morning when I dropped him off at preschool. Tonight John's brother brought down Cameron for the boys to play. They had a great time! Okay, short and sweet....all I have time for! :)

Mud Bugs 09

Every year we have a small get-together with friends and have crayfish. YUM! Jace tried his first ones today and loved them....until he found a spicy one and then wouldn't touch them again. We had a great time visiting as always and of course the kiddos had a blast!

Girls Day Out

My mom kept the kids for me today so that I could have a girls day out with Shea, Chandra, and Cassie (plus 2 handsome baby boys.) I always feel like I have to rush home to get the kids, but still had a great time catching up. These girls have been the biggest blessings and support both now and during our undergrad program and Master's program. I could not have done it without them. It is so true what they say about some of the friends you meet in college, they are friends for a lifetime.

That's how we bowl

How the boys fell asleep tonight!

Asleep during the first half of his haircut....(BEFORE)

(AFTER)

Today was a busy but fun day. It started out with a trip to the dentist for a cleaning. I go back in two weeks to get my teeth "stripped" so that my teeth go back to the way they were in high school. They are getting to tight on the bottom and so stripping them means basically filing away the sides a little to give more room. I'm interested in seeing how that goes, lol. Then it was home to play with the boys outside awhile. This afternoon Bradley and sweet baby Mack came for a visit. He is getting sooooo big! All of these babies around me are already growing up soooo fast. It was great to catch up. Then tonight four of us girls went out to eat at Godsey's (YUMMY) and then go bowling. We had an interesting night, starting with a the rain downfall. We even pulled into someones driveway for a few minutes because we couldn't see to drive. The man and his wife are just staring at us through the window, and then proceeded to call someone while staring at us. Then the guy comes out with his umbrella but doesn't say a word. Tiff rolls down the window to tell him that we will be leaving but just had to pull over because we couldn't see, and then he proceeds to not say a word and walks off. So weird. Anyway, then we proceeded to eat where we looked like drowned rats coming in. My hair started out straight, but as you can see, it turned curly quickly. After supper we headed to the bowling alley where Stacy kept getting strikes on the screen even though she had one pin left. This happened several times...seriously...but only to her, lol. We decided we should have shirts made that say: "This is how we bowl." Yes we are getting old, lol! On another note, John took Jace to get his haircut. He started out asleep and I got a before shot, but I had to leave for girls night and didn't get to see the finished look until I got home. He looks so handsome, not to mention that it looks MUCH better, but it still makes me sad that it is a big boy haircut. They just grow up too fast!

Can it get any better than this?

We went out and ate with Stacy, Chris, Tiffany, Jeff, and the kiddos (well part of the crew) Saturday night. We had a great time visiting as always. Sunday was church and then I finally got to see Twilight. It was pretty good, a little hard to get in to at the beginning but I liked the ending. Today has been spent cleaning and OUTSIDE!!! Can you ask for better weather? Jace has not got naps the last two days because we have been spending so much time outside. He fell asleep last night at 7:30 and then tonight he fell asleep eating supper. That is the first time he has ever done that since "real food." Poor thing looked pitiful. At least he got his bath first!

Spring Break is officially here!!

Whoo Hoo! This week went by fairly quickly. Thursday night was Parent/Teacher conferences until 7 and then Friday was inservice. We were lucky and got out at 11. YAY! John and I decided (well, I coerced) to do a little shopping. He went ahead and got me an Ipod Touch for our anniversary next month. Now, if only I could figure out how to work the silly thing, lol. We came home so that John could take Kylan to ball practice. We then headed back to town to eat with Andrea and some friends from church. We had a great time until Jace got sooooo cranky that we had to cut our visit short. He had a tummy ache. Could have been from the six pieces of gum he ingested. I found the wrappers as proof, lol. Seriously, it is amazing what an almost 2 yr. old can find in 6.3 seconds. He was in the living room and found the gum in my purse. He also found my clear cotton candy lip gloss that has a white puffy end and decided that it must be a q-tip. I had to wipe off his face and inside the ear. Jeez, I can't take my eyes off of him for a second. I should have know when he was so quite. Speaking of being almost 2.....Jace was 22 months old yesterday. Amazing that he will be 2 in MAY!!!

Reunited & it feels so good.......

YAY!!! I got my truck back this afternoon!!! I have to admit though that I will miss John's DVD player in his truck. The weather has been so nice the last two days, sooooo we have been spending lots of time outside. Here are a few pics of outside time. Oh, and no Jace is not just running around on the highway. We took a walk down to the river to throw rocks. Yes, I know, not the best thing to teach him......Oh, and if you look closely you will see Kylan hiding in those leaves trying to confuse Jace. It was the funniest thing for Jace to hear Kylan talk, but he just couldn't figure out where he was.

So it begins.....

Coaches pitch t-ball has come again for the season. Kylan had his first practice yesterday. When getting stuff out for practice Jace ,without any persuasion from us, got his hat on and drug around two bats before practice. So maybe a future baseball lover in our hands? I doubt it, but is already showing more interest than Kylan in the game, lol. This will be Kylan's 4th season to play t-ball. I love to watch him play and hope that he continues to play sports in the future. Oh, and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Hope you all wore your green!!!

Last 2 orders for the weekend....

Here are pics from the last two orders I finished up today. Mom and I also ran some errands this afternoon in betweem a.m. and p.m. church. I have already found some cute stuff for Jace's 2nd b-day party. I think we are doing a jungle theme.

What I have been doing...

There is a reason I have been missing for a couple of days from blogging. I have been SUPER busy with sewing baby orders. It is nice to have people wanting my stuff. This week has flown by. John, my dad, and Kylan went to the monster truck show tonight and left me and Jace home to work/play. It would have been way to loud for him. I'm upset that John forgot to take the camera, so no pictures, boo hoo! Here are some pics though of a few orders I have been doing. I will post the other orders when I get them finished. On another note....I get my truck by early next week! YAY!!!

Counting down the days...

Not much going on here lately. Sunday was church, and then afterwards, John and his brother took Kylan arrowhead hunting. Kylan was soooo proud that he found one all by himself. Monday back to school. Kylan was supposed to start t-ball practice, but it was cancelled. We instead enjoyed the afternoon outside. Today was school, then a staff meeting afterwards. Tonight was Young Women's. As busy as Spring gets, I have to say I am ready for Spring Break. No major plans, but needing a break to just relax! Here are just a few pics of random things.
