Date Night

Today I worked on orders all day while John, his brother, and the boys played outside. Tonight I decided would be a good date night. I actually wanted to go out last night, but John's mom couldn't keep the kids. Tonight seemed to be a better night to go out anyway, though it was packed at the theater. We had to sit on the side at the very top. I was glad we got there when we did. We saw Taken, and it was GOOD! I recommend it. You will have to excuse the tomato face, lol. I stayed in the tanning bed tooooo long!

Exciting News

No, I'm not pregnant, lol. This, I am sure, is only exciting to the candy obsessed people out there (to skittles in particular.) There is a new kind!!! They are super YUMMY!!! I have a terrible sweet tooth, particularly to cupcakes and candy. We were in the checkout line tonight and I almost jumped up and down when I saw them!!!
On to "normal" news of the day...lol....this weather has been GREAT! The boys enjoyed some time outside this afternoon riding the go-cart (slowly when Jace was in it.) Kylan later ran into a tree when it was just himself and busted his lip. We then decided to call it a day outside and headed to town to eat some Chinese and get groceries. Kylan had to try out chopsticks tonight for the first time. It was funny to watch and I really wish I would have taken a picture. (After all I am obviously crazy enough to take a picture of skittles, lol) Anyway, I think we are going to see if John's parents will keep the kids tomorrow night so that we can go on a date tomorrow night.

New words...

Jace is starting to say new words everyday. Now these may not be used consistently, but he is saying them none the less. New words for today.....he is saying his name, and he said Amen after we finished our prayer at suppertime. HOW SWEET! Other new words to add to the list: Braaa (Brax, the dog), dah (dog) ca (cat), Papaw, juice, shoes, boot, and dang. Yes, he says dang. I know, not the best word, but we are just tickled he is talking more. He has been so behind on even attempting it that we aren't crushing his vocab. For the moment at least, lol!

How my day started....

It could have been worse!!!!



I was taking the boys to school this morning when a guy hit me. The wierd thing is....he was a neighbor and I just happened to have his grandson in the truck with me. How wierd is that? It happened in town and not even out in the country where we live. We are all just fine, and again it could have been worse.

There's no day like a snow day!

Church was cancelled this morning, so we decided to have a little fun in the snow. Jace just had to go outside even though it was freezing. My dad came over and helped the boys build a snowman. I stayed out as long as I could with Jace and then we came by in while the guys finished up. He just cried when we came by in, but with his runny nose I didn't want him to get really sick. We went back out long enough for a few more pictures with the completed snowman. Jace doesn't look happy in the pictures but he wasn't happy going in either. It was nice getting out for a bit, and HOPEFULLY this will be the last snow of the year. After all this IS March 1st! I'm ready for SPRING!!!

Seriously, can this weather get any crazier? Yesterday I finished up an order and then John and I chilled at home. Today, I woke up to breakfast in bed. John made me toast and an omelet. I got up went to get my hair cut and colored. Which was waaaaaaay past due. July was the last time I had it done, so I feel refreshed now. John then took Kylan to a birthday party at Pump it Up. Jace and I stayed home b/c if a child is under 2 then they can't play on anything. John and Kylan got groceries for me too while they were in town. Tonight I went to visit Shea and Baby Madden! I just love to hold sweet babies!! I can't wait for play dates with Madden!
