Today was church as usual. After church I got all of my orders finished to monogram. I refuse to take anymore until after the holidays. Too much stress for a beginner. We had our special Christmas services tonight with the usual surprise visit from Santa. Kylan of course said he wasn't the real one because he had a anchor tattoo on his hand. I wonder who picks out our church Santa???? Anyway, all of the kids got a plastic candy cane filled with M&M's. Kylan took his back up to Santa and asked if he could have sugar free chocolate. Yes, my child. I know, I know, but I am constantly hounding him on eating too much sugar and brushing his teeth. At least now I know he listens, huh? Jace didn't like Santa at all and refused to sit on his lap. One of our church ladies took him up there so I could at least get somewhat of a picture. The boys had fun opening their other gifts. We have been so blessed to have such a great church family that loves our boys.

party all day

We have had quite the eventful weekend so far. Last night John took Kylan to a bowling party for his friend Sam, while Jace and I stayed at home and made a cake for a baby shower. Which, by the way, is I think my final cake. They just take way too long for such a small price. I don't make enough money off of them with the labor and time involved. Once we finished the cake (my mom and I), as much as we could, then Jace and I relaxed until John and Kylan came home. In fact, Jace fed himself some spaghetti-o's and then got a bath and was out by 8:30. Soooo, I was able to catch up on some reading. Once they got home, I headed back to my mom's to finish the cake. We didn't get to finish it because John had to pick up the fondant. I finally got in bed a little after 1. Today started early with my Uncle Bob and Aunt Shirley coming in from Little Rock. They brought their grandson with them who is in college, so the boys were entertained nicely. These people are the nicest people ever and mean the world to us. They are not really our aunt/uncle, but we have claimed them as family since we were about 8 years old and met them while going on weekend church retreats. Our family, as well as them, and many other couples/families were part of a "ministry team" that traveled around AR to minister/witness on the weekends. It was a wonderful experience growing up, that I hate for my boys to miss out on. Our team no longer does these, as life gets busier and people travel more, etc. Anyway, we had a great time visiting with them. Afterwards, we (Jace and I) took us a nap before we headed out to drop off Kylan for a birthday party for his friend Gavin. We then took Jace to John's parents because we had a Christmas party for our Extension Club. Hubbies are invited to this and we play lots of games and exchange gifts with our secret sis that we have had throughout the year. We had a great time. Afterwards I went and picked up Jace and Kylan was dropped off at the party. He was worn out and was asleep before we got home. He said he had a great time though. Tomorrow is yet another busy day to end the weekend. We have out Christmas program, along with Santa at church tomorrow. I am eager to see how Jace will react.....

Yay for shopping
Well, I took a much needed personal day, dropped off the boys at school, and did some Christmas shopping. I needed a day to finish up on the boys and John's goodies. I spent way too much money of course, but got quite a bit accomplished. I even managed to buy me some things, (wrapped now and under the tree with a tag that reads: to mommy, from: the boys). Hey, I deserve something from them right??? Anyway, John will be surprised and relived to realize on Christmas morning that somehow something managed to get under the tree from them, since he will have forgotten, lol. No pics lately, my memory card is full (both of them) and I have yet to take them to get them printed of course. My computer is too slow to upload them to walmart and get them printed. I have also yet to take a decent pic of the boys for a Christmas card which I need to get ordered. Do I still have time????

Baby Shower

Today I felt TERRIBLE! Jace also had an upset tummy with 4 horrid diapers, all before noon. So between the 2 of us, the day hasn't been fun. I feel like the flu is coming on with me, but who knows. I am nauseous as all get out but have finally eaten pretzels, potatoes, and a small piece of cake for the day. And no, I am not preggers. But speaking of, we had a Tiffany's baby shower today. She got tons of nice things, as well as about 6 bouncy seats. It was rather funny, but at least she can exchange for some other things she may still need. That's all for today, hopefully tomorrow will be free of sickness.

Saturday gone already....
It is Saturday night AGAIN, gone. As always the weekends slip away too quickly. This week actually flew by as well. Friday night we went to watch The Living Christmas Tree which as seemed to turn into a tradition. Jace wasn't sure what to think with all of the lights and singing. Since it was so late we decided to wait until today to get groceries. Kylan decided that he wanted to stay the night with his Aunt Andee. We were actually in bed by 10:00 for once on a Friday night. Today proved to be a busy day. I took the boys to go get Christmas pictures made. They did well, thank goodness. John and I then headed to town to get some groceries and run a few errands, like getting a new part for my embroidery machine. I got home and had a few stick-ups, but just maybe, I have them ironed out, for now anyway. Tomorrow will be a full days a well. We have church as usual, but also I am helping host a baby shower for Tiffany. It should be a lot of fun!

We are enjoying a night home tonight. After Cameron's party Monday night and a Chuck E. Cheese party last night, we are eager to just sit. Kylan went to the birthday party of our neighbors. She also happens to be in my class this year. A super sweet little girl. The kids had loads of fun at her party. Today was a great day at school which is always nice. I hate when my kiddos are sick, but it is nice to have small numbers. I ended up with 10 kids only by 2:30. Four that left were not sick though, so no there is nothing going around in my room, lol. Today was a sad day though. Bandy, my/my parents cat had to be put to sleep. We (my sis and I) got him when we were in the 7th grade. He had been abandoned, hence the name Bandy, and was in terrible shape. My aunt took him home with her to "make him better", or so my parents said. The original plan was for her to take him so that we wouldn't be upset if he didn't live. Well, my aunt spent a fortune and got him back to health and surprised us by bringing him back to us. We have had him ever since. Of course when we started living on our own he stayed with our parents. He had a knot come up above his shoulder and it has continued to get bigger and bigger over 2 months. My dad took him to the vet where they said he had cancer and it was growing very rapidly. He would only have 6 months top, to live. The vet said to keep an eye on him, that he was too old to remove it, and that it would come back anyway. He said that if he stopped eating that he was probably starting to suffer and that it would be a better idea to just put him to sleep. He did stop eating and had started sounding funny, and my parents didn't want to see him suffer. My poor mom has been crying her eyes out all day. Anyway, you might want to send a little prayer for her.

Cam's 1st birthday

Tonight we celebrated Cameron's first birthday at John's parents house. I can't believe that my nephew is a year old already. Happy Birthday Cameron! I am also posting pics of sweet Laynie in her Christmas tutu and shirt that her mom ordered from me. We couldn't get her to smile, but her mom said she would take some pictures and email them to me later.
