We had a fun day at the ASU pet farm. The kids loved the animals. Afterwards we ran to a local church pumpkin patch. All in all, a great day!!

Pumpkin hollow

I was blessed to be able to take a personal day and go to the pumpkin patch with Jace on his first kindergarten field trip. We were really rushed for time and it was a long drive but worth it. Some of those kiddos will never have the opportunity otherwise. I hope that we can go back one Saturday and enjoy an entire day. And by the way...not sure why the pic is sideways except that I blog from my phone and don't know how to turn it lol.

Movie time

We took 7 kids (counting my own) to the movies for kylans birthday. We had a blast and the kids were all well behaved!

Under construction

So, as if we don't always have enough going on...we have decided to box in my dining room and make kylan his own bedroom. The office/playroom will
now be the new dining room. They are the same size anyway. My dad is doing the labor and we are just doing a little at a time so it may be Christmas before we get done. So excited that the boys will finally have their own rooms. Poor jace has half his stuff in klaires room and half in kylans room. It is a much needed arrangement to get another bedroom. This also will allow us to redo our master bedroom since we have to move our doorway down to make a hall. Would love to add on but it's just not in the cards for now so we will do what we can. We still have so many plans for our small house but in time hopefully we can get it all done.

Happy birthday kylan!

Can't believe kylan is 10 years old today! Wow! He has not made up his mind on what he wants to do yet...thinking maybe taking a few friends to the movies. We shall see...I had really wanted to eat lunch with him at school today but instead went to the funeral of a very special man in my life. He was the preacher at my wedding and was like a grandfather to me. He told me every Sunday at church that I was like his own and how proud he was of me. He will be greatly missed.

Open house

I can't believe it but I have a kindergartner and a 4th grader!! We had open house and the boys took their supplies to their classrooms and talked with their teachers. Praying for a great school year!!

County fair

Well our county fair ended our summer. The kids had a blast as always. We stayed later than we typically do, but we got a later start. All in all it was a fun fair for the kids!

Meeting Troy & jacob

Saturday morning Klaire and I had a pageant, but afterwards we met the boys at DNW where they had tickets to meet Troy and Jacob off of Swamp people. We had to wait forever to wait until their letter was called (they were letter W out of the alphabet) so that tells you an idea of where we were in line lol. :-/ It was worth the wait though. The boys were super excited to get their autographs and shake hands with them.

Fort Walton, FL

I have most of our vaca pics posted on facebook. These are just ones I happen to have on my phone. I rarely ever get on my laptop to blog anymore, so this is what you get. :)

Wow, it's been awhile

I intend to be better about updating after ever post, but I'm just not good at it lately. :( Anyway, we are gearing up for school to start and for things to get really, really busy. Along with school, august means football sign up for kylan and then on to soccer for Jace and cheer comps for Klaire. Along with that I am starting my national board certification. I will need lots of prayers to pass!! I have 1-3 years to pass but in saying that the pass rate is only 50%. Yikes!! I was blessed to receive a scholarship that only the top 200 applicants in the state could receive to help pay for it. Two out of 4 of us at the elementary building received it but I'm praying that it doesn't discourage anyone because I need that group support. :) For now, that's what had been going on. We did enjoy a trip to Fort Walton which was fabulous and as always we never want to leave the beach. ;)

What we do most days...

Swimming, swimming, & more swimming!! It's been so hot that the pool is the only thing that gets us outside. We have been to the $2 movies twice now this summer, but for the most part we have slowed down somewhat with having to go and be places. So proud of jace too. He has learned to swim with no life jacked since we got the pool. Such a big boy!!

CTR tigers

How sweet are this cheer girls!

Football camp

Kylan had football camp three days this week and helped lead his team to a victory on the last play of the game. So proud of him!!

Not going to slow down lol

I thought i would have much more time to blog once school was out...but...not so much! We have been swimming and staying busy. Kylan has had football camp and Klaire cheer this week. Today We headed to the Pink Palace museum since we have free summer passes. We were disappointed that the mansion part was blocked off for a special event and inaccessible today, but we have all summer to go back at least. And of course our trip couldn't be complete without Gigi's cupcakes!!
