Home & adjusting

Well, we got home around 1 on Sunday. Now it is adjustment time. We had to supplement with formula in the hospital some because Klaire wasn't latching on correctly and was killing me, not to mention wanting to eat every hour. We cam home & did the same until yesterday. I what little bit of formula that she was getting was upsetting her stomach because she would not sleep and would cry. I decided no more and she hasn't had any formula since Sunday afternoon. The sleeping is getting a little better, however she is still wanting to nurse every hour or so, and at some times every 30 minutes. It is wearing me out, but hopefully I can try to get her on some kind of schedule the next 2 weeks. She just wants to nurse about 10 minutes and then go to sleep. Some of all that sleepiness is due to the fact that she was early, but again, hopefully we can get the hang of this. I am pretty determined to nurse and no pump for now. So, say a prayer for us all as we are learning to adjust to our new family. The boys are doing well with her. Jace wants a little more attention, but that is normal. Here are some new pics!

Introducing Klaire LilyAnn

Well, since I last posted Miss Priss decided to come into this world. When I went to the doc. yesterday I was dilated 3.5, and my doc. stripped my membranes more. We had also set up April 5th as the day to induce. He felt I wouldn't make it long, but then again we thought that last week, ha! Well, he was on the money. I woke up this morning around 5 having contractions. They were about 10 minutes apart. By the time I woke John up at 6, they were b/t 4-5 minutes apart. We called my mom to come over & watch the boys so we could head to the hospital. Contractions at this point were 3-4 min. apart. When we got there I was hurting pretty bad and begged the nurse to tell me that I better be at least at 4, lol. She said, "Sister you are at 7!" WOW, was I shocked or what. They ordered my epidural right away. By the time I got it I was at 8.5 and they said we would be pushing soon. Well, the epidural was the best I had ever had cause I didn't feel anything, which was so different with the boys. The only setback was that I had to push longer than with them b/c of it. I still only pushed about 30 minutes and baby girl was here at 9:29 weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz. She was a lot bigger than I thought, especially considering she was 15 days early. We are so blessed to have her here and for everything to go so well. Thank you all for for your thoughts & prayers!!!

Spring Break

Well Spring Break is here and almost gone. Sunday was church for us, we also headed to town for some errands & groceries. Monday the boys & I stayed home & inside since our yard was a swamp. John & I did get to go on a date night though when he got home from work. We went and saw The Bounty Hunter. It was cute, nothing that couldn't wait until out for rent. Tuesday the boys & I stayed outside for quite a while. It was so pretty and had dried up some, though they did play in the mud puddles of course. Today I decided that I needed to get out of the house, so the boys & I jumped in the truck & ran to town. I hit a couple of consignment stores and then headed home. Papaw came down & took the boys on a ride in the semi. They loved it of course! Then it was home for a bit until Jace's first t-ball practice. He did awesome! First thing he got hit in the stomach with a ball though, but never shed a tear and kept right on playing afterwards. I was super impressed. Kylan has piano later tonight too, so it has been a busy day! Still hoping for baby girl by Monday, but she is so far being stubborn, lol!

Crawfish Saturday

Dear baby girl,
Since you decided that today was not going to be your day to join us (as much as I wanted it to be), then we joined with friends Angela & Jeremy to eat crawfish. They were super YUMMY! We have this get together every year & we look forwards to it so much!

Update with Klaire

Gosh has it been a week already?? Lots going on...Friday night I was exhausted, so we just relaxed at home. Saturday we went out with John's parents for Chinese and Gatlin stayed the night with us. Sunday was church as usual and then Monday back to school. I turned 36 wks. on Sunday also. Monday night I had my Young Mother's club meeting where I had another diaper drop and then Tuesday I had my diaper drop at school. Today I went back to the doc. for my weekly check-up. I am now dilated to 3. My doc. also stripped my membranes. Still praying for a Saturday baby!!! After my appt. mom & I took the boys to the bookstore and let them buy books. Plus I wanted to get the babywise book since I have heard so much about it! Hope it is worth it! Jace loved the train set there. I sent the boys off to church tonight with their daddy while I stay off my feet. I really need to be at school the next two days!!! Oh the first diaper pic is from the school drop, though it doesn'teven do it justice. I took the pic on my break and half the diapers weren't even there. The other pic is from the club diaper drop!

Dr. Updates

John went back to the doc. yesterday for another chest x-ray. His lung is 100% again. Praise the Lord for that wonderful news! I also went for a check-up and will now go weekly. WOW! I am dilated to 1 cm. and he said baby girl is very low. He says that he doesn't think I will make it to my due date but to drink plenty of fluids in order to make it to 37 wks. I was 37 wks. with Jace. He also believes that when she decides to make her arrival that it will be super quick. I hope and pray that he is right. I would still LOVE for her to be born next Saturday the 20th. I would only be a day shy of 37 weeks so it would be perfect! After my appt. yesterday I went to Young Women's meeting where I had my first diaper drop. It is so exciting to get something that is so needed, & it saves a ton of money!

More boo boos for John

John called me at school Monday and informed me that he had been in a car wreck. He is okay, just scratched up and sore. Airbags can do some damage! Luckily he wasn't even in his truck (instead in a car he was working on) and it wasn't his fault. John was hurt the worst, so they were both very fortunate it wasn't that bad. He was more shaken up than anything. I asked him if he was just trying to scare me into early labor yet again, lol! So thankful that God has his loving arms of protection around John lately. It could have been soooo much worse. He has a knot on his arm that you can see as an oval bruise in the picture and a knot on his stomach. Thank goodness his lungs were okay! By the way, he goes back for a check-up on that this Thursday. Say a prayer for him!

Klaire's baby shower

This was a small shower that a great group of girlfriends hosted for me. These are a great group of girls that I couldn't imagine not being in my life! I didn't want to double dip and invite everyone that I knew would be involved with the rest of her showers which will be "diaper drops." I will have diaper drops from my Young Women's Club, Yound Mother's Club, ECH club, church, & school. I am soooo blessed being involved in all of these things and am so grateful for these people being in our livs. (And not just for the diaper drops, lol!) I had a fabulous time at my shower and it was perfect! A lot of people ended up with other obligations but it was still a special shower. The hostesses all did a FABULOUS job with EVERYTHING! I couldn't be more blessed!

Stomach bug & completed nursery

Well this week I felt GREAT.....up until Thursday. I started feeling bad at school, ate a light lunch, but then by 1:00 was feeling HORRIBLE. We had parent night that night, needless to say I was home puking my guts up. Looks like the stomach virus finally made it to our house. It has been going around like crazy, but I was hoping we would miss it. So far, Jace has had a few bathroom issues, but no vomiting, and he acts like he feels ok. I stayed at home Friday and slept most of the day (if I wasn't in the bathroom), sorry if that was too much info! Mom came over and finished up Klaire's bedding & curtains though while I slept. I am so excited that her room is complete, now with the exception of a rug and a few other small decorations (picture frames, etc.) Today I feel somewhat better. Still weak, but at least able to hold down a small amount of food. Hope & pray this is the end of virus for the Sutton family!!!
