staying busy

I can't believe that it has been a week since I posted. Gosh it has been a busy one though. I will start with where I left off again, but will have to post pictures later. Andrea has been taking them and I don't have them yet. Saturday night we (my sis & I) were able to go see baby Stratton. He was a complete angel the whole time we were there. Such a cutie too! Sunday was church and then Monday was off to the first full week of school. Tuesday was dad's birthday and we celebrated that night at their house with supper & cake of course! (love you dad, hope your b-day was special) Wednesday night was church night and then nothing but school the rest of the week. I have a an order to do every night so that is keeping me busy as well. The boys and I have also been playing outside everyday because it has just been too pretty to sit inside. I am ready for some full blown fall weather and football now. Friday night I just didn't feel good. John took the boys to his mom's to let them play with cousin Cameron for a little while so I could take a nap. Today has been busy playing outside, and running to town for supplies to finish up the laundry room project that never got finished over the summer. By the way, props to Home Depot for the car shopping carts. Walmart should seriously take the hint. It would make grocery shopping soooo much easier. Anyway, I want everything finished and the house in order before we add our little addition the the family. As all of you know by now, we are expecting again and are super excited. We are not finding out the gender this time. My reasoning is this.....everyone knows that we would love a little girl....however my gut tells me (& most everyone else) that we will have another boy and that I will continue to be outnumbered. BUT....I think it will be easier to welcome another boy in the family when we wait & find out in the delivery room. We will of course LOVE another sweet little boy just as we do our others, and if, and it is a HUGE IF it is a little girl, then how much fun would that surprise be. Anyway, God knows what we need & honestly as long as they glorify him, then I couldn't be more thrilled! Wish us luck, we go to our first doc. appt. this coming Friday to see our first ultrasound!!! I am staying really nauseous, which I did with Jace, and really tired, but of course all of that is normal!

We survived!

YAY we survived the first week of school! I honestly don't know if I could have made it a full week! Kylan LOVES 1st grade so far and says it is super easy. I just hope it stays that easy for him. He even said last night that he was ready to go back already. WOW..he NEVER said that last year. He loved it last year too but would have rather been at home. Jace cried again on Thursday when I left him, but again had a great day! I am so proud too that he has had no accidents at school. His teacher had mentioned to not worry if he did at first because it is a new environment and that they get so busy playing that they tend to forget. I was so worried he would regress, but so far so good! Thursday night we went to the fair. He seem to have fewer rides every year, BUT the kids love it & I wouldn't have let them skip it for anything.

Slacking already

Okay, so I can't help it, I have already started slacking on the blog & today is only the first day of school. Monday & Tuesday were inservice. The boys came up & helped me in my room Tuesday afternoon & then we went by daycare to let Jace see his new room in his new building. He wouldn't get off of my hip the first 15 mins. but finally got down & played. Today of course was full of tears for me & Jace. It broke my heart. I got a text that morning though that said he was doing great (that & staying super busy with my new ones) helped keep my mind off of the morning tears. When I picked him up they said he did super & that no one cried after breakfast. So for me that is great considering he hasn't been there all summer. I had a good day with my 17 new kiddos. It will take a couple of weeks to get used to routines & more structure but I think they will do great! I hope & pray so anyway, lol. Anyway, I was so worried about getting to school on time today & in the routine of dropping Jace off again that I forgot to take pictures (though thankfully I did remember to say a prayer with the boys). It is a good thing I read Stacy's blog & saw that she had a pic of Kylan from today! (Thanks Stac). I also did manage to sneak out on my break & get a pic of Kylan on the playground. Hope the school year goes as well as it did today!!! Oh, when I asked Kylan how it went today he said, "It's easier than Kindergarten!" Yeah well, we will see how long that lasts!

party, party, & party some more!

Well I survived parent orientation on Friday morning with at least half of my parents/kiddos showing up. I think we all had about half show up which was good especially considering it was during work hours. Hopefully I will get to meet the other half at Open House on Monday night. Friday night we went to town & ate with John's parents again this weekend and then of course groceries, lol. Saturday was a busy day with 3 birthday parties. Unfortunately we only made it to 2. The first one was Rylee's & it was bowling. Kylan bowled & Gatlin & Jace played games, so they were all happy. I didn't feel good at all so as soon as we got home I took a nap. Jace & I then got up and went to Mack's 1st birthday party. Bradley went all out & everything looked awesome! Today was Homecoming at our church & another b-day party that we didn't make it to, b/c of Homecoming. We all came home from that & took naps. We don't have services tonight so I am working on an order and then enjoying my boys before school officially starts this week!

Fun with the boys

I went back to work Wednesday which breaks my heart! Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but staying at home with my boys is ideal! Well at least staying at home with Jace is. I know that Kylan has to go to school so that is easier to deal with. Tonight the boys have been painting and playing. I got the biggest kick out of Jace playing with Mr. Potato Head. He would stick the "ears" in his ears. Gosh I miss out on so much when he is at daycare. Anyway, wish me luck tomorrow. We have orientation & I swear I get hives just thinking about it. I can talk in front of a room full of kiddos any day, but put me in a room full of adults & I go blank! Weird huh? I just keep telling myself that it only lasts an hour, but it doesn't help. The boys have been staying with John's mom the last 2 days & John will be at home with them tomorrow. Be praying for Jace as he starts back to daycare next Wednesday. He has been out all summer with his mama & it will be hard! Plus I don't want him to regress with potty training. He has been in undies 6 wks. now & i refuse to go back to diapers! Anyway, just be thinking of us all (my family, teachers in general, your kiddos, and the school kiddos). Sometimes school is the only place a child feels safe, so give God the glory that your children are in homes where they are loved and safe!

Summer is coming to an end!

Thursday I took the boys with me & worked a couple hours in my room & delivered some orders. Friday the boys & I hung around and played outside. John worked for a little while. When he got home we met his parents to eat supper & then got groceries for the week. Saturday was our 1 day VBS at our church. John worked in it and so him & Kylan had a blast that day. John even came home long enough to bring me breakfast left over from their mens breakfast that morning. It was so sweet & yummy! He brought me hash browns, biscuits & choc. gravy, & sausage! Later we just hung around and relaxed. Yesterday was church & then lunch with my parents. We headed back to church & then went back to my parents & grilled out for supper. Today I have worked on orders this morning * am finally seeing the light at the end of my orders tunnel, lol. Tonight I have supper with the ladies from my EHC club.

work, work, work

I had a workshop Monday & then worked in my room. I totally rearranged my room and it is a disaster. I worked in it a few hours again Tues. with the boys. They were pretty good but still can't get a lot accomplished with them under my heels. I still have about 5 hrs. of work ahead of me, but hopefully will have time to finish up what I can Friday. Yesterday & today I also worked on orders. It is a good thing the boys help entertain each other. I still have a ton of orders that I am working on, but it feels good to get a large portion marked off of my list today. I plan to get 8 more shirts done by this weekend along with some burpcloths. I have to get this stuff done before school starts b/c it will be even crazier then. Can't believe I go back next week! So sad! Jace cried Monday when I left him with his Meme. I can't even begin to imagine how hard it will be to leave him at school after being off all summer with me.

Enjoying the last few days of summer

Friday we were exhausted from getting in so late from FL., but we needed groceries so I headed to town by myself and got a few things. Saturday was a lazy day since it rained most of the day. I did manage to get all of my laundry caught up & my truck cleaned out from the trip. Today we had church as usual & then Kylan went to his Andee's to hang out with her since she was in New York when we were in FL. I took a long nap, in fact I overslept but am now getting up just in the knick of time to head back to church again. Tomorrow I have a workshop & hopefully will get to work in my room some. It needs it!!! I can't believe it is almost that time already! WOW, did summer seem short!
