Happy New Year

Last night my parents kept the kiddos for us and we went out with Angela and Jeremy. We had a GREAT time as always with them. We ate at Chili's and it was Delicious, even if it took them an hour to get it to us, lol. I swear that is the second time we have had that problem. We waited about 30 min. to get a table and then an hour on food. I understand that it was New Year's Eve, but good gracious. The manager did come out and apologize and gave us 50% off of our meal, so that was nice. Today was spent at John's parents house. We had our black-eyed peas and hog jowl of course, as well as a mixture of many other things. As far as resolutions go, I really try not to "set" any. I do however want to say that there are a few things that I could use improvement on. These are goals that I try to achieve every year, such as.....being a good mom and wife, reading the bible more, spending more time with my Heavenly Father, and spending as much time with family and friends as possible. Also, letting my loved ones know how much they mean to me. Tonight we are relaxing and probably taking down the tree. The poor thing is sooooo dead. It looks like it has melted and every time we come in the door there are ornaments all in the floor. I am still trying to convince John that we need an artificial tree, lol. Off to reach one of those goals...time with my boys.

You are so brave for tackeling a real tree! Good luck getting all your Christmas stuff down!

Oh, and I love Jace's new bib! Is that Amy Butler Lotus fabric?

Ah, the traditional New Year's meal...love it! Thanks to Mom I had my share, too. As far as Chili's goes...the one in J'boro is not the best. Seems they always take forever or screw something up! It's so darn good though!
