Busy Busy

Today started off slow. I took Jace outside for a short period, while John and Kylan went to pick up Gatlin. I then worked on some school things, lesson plans, my newsletter, sorting paperwork, etc. Then I decided that while Gatlin and Kylan were entertaining each other and Jace, that I would get some more sewing done. Even though I did get a lot accomplished, Jace felt the need to help me with the ribbon. I swear he was like a kitten with a ball of yarn. He was having the best time unrolling it all and draping it around himself. I got two diaper wipe cases finished, that I will post later, and 5 burp clothes made. I made the cloths today out of the Gerber cloth diapers, but I still think I like my other ones better. It is nice to do something else though for a change. I would love to start making those adorable pillowcase dresses that are a big ticket for the little girls, but I just haven't had the time to learn yet. Plus, I won't be selling them at the craft fair so I need to focus on my other things for now. They are however on my to-do list. I guess I am done sewing for the night, I am starting to run low on cute fabric (hint hint Stacy, we have got to make that trip, lol), so I need to pick up some more. I wish that I would have started all of this sooner. I am just not sure how much time I can make for all of this once school starts Mon. We shall see.....

We have the same ribbon problem at our house. A great thing about it is that Ella will spend minutes at a time playing in it so I can actually get things done. BUT... it does take FOREVER to re-roll back on that little spool! I use those little Gerber baby food plastic containers to put the ribbon it. That works great - and you don't have to roll it back up! They are clear so you can see what ribbon is in there, plus the containers have lids so they don't spill or un-roll.

I LOVE the one on the top right! They're all very cute, though. Those pics of Jace are precious! Have a super great day tomorrow.
